This is a "false-ricasso" Italian foil, meaning that it uses a regular "French" tang foil blade, not a "true-ricasso" Italian-style blade. The true Italian-style blades are no longer being made, so this option is the best for those who want to use the traditional Italian weapon. The electric version comes with an FWF German-made point and a German-style socket.
